I actually own some corns!

Hey people,
After some pretty bad experiences, I finally have a trio of Corns which I kind of like.
They are still TINY, 2009.
1.2 Amel het Caramel.
I know it is early as heck but they seem to have tons of white, you think they'll end up looking like RO'ish?

(I hope to eventually bring in a Bloodred... or even better, Ultra/Ultramel/Goldust... but there are none here. Only bloods that go for absurd prices- they are currently demanding 90$ for a normal het blood)

Great trio, Oren. I think every amel looks different.
Amel corn snakes in Israel....is about as Salvador Dalì surreal as it gets in real life.

They look a little ROish, now, but, ... as adults, they may either still look a little ROish or they may not.
Color tends to grow/bleed into the white borders as the snake gets older ... thus, the reason that, if an RO is desired, the wider the white borders (as babies) the better.

With being het Caramel, there is, also, the possibility that, as they get older, more yellow will come in and could start looking more orange or red-orange (than would be expected from a non het-Caramel).

hmm, well, neat
I will just see how it goes, I imagine that with selective breeding I -can- get there... but corns aren't my focus.
Maybe if the prices were more similar to those that are in the USA...
Of course, it's not like my only consideration is whether or not getting a snake is cost effective... but it IS a consideration... I pay my own rent, schooling and living...
Anywhoo, I hope that a few years from now I will travel with my friend and open up a little station in Daytona
Then, maybe I will be able to get some corns at reasonable prices.
