I love mah corns but...

Oh my goodness, 30 feet in length!

"Adult Boa Constrictors are commonly over 10 feet long and weigh 60 pounds, but they have been known to reach 30 feet in length." (http://www.petwatch.net/browse_animals/reptiles/44-common_boa_or_boa_constrictor)

HAHAHA!! I think I'll be waiting a long time for any of mine to reach 30 feet/60lbs. Who are these people and who considers them credible? Oh wait, these are the same people that our wonderful politicians :)devil01:) probably call in to testify when they want to ban these animals. Wonderful.

A beardie was our first pet. I agree on expensive and high maintenance! I love him, but there is a reason we only have one and I am totally fine with that.

Oh. My. God! XD

Really?? Who are these people, where are they getting this info?

Looking at their site...
I wouldn't consider any bird a "best choice" pet honestly. They carry more diseases than a lot of pets, and are extremely messy and loud. We have an african grey and a cockatiel(a "best choice"). We love them to death, but we wouldn't recommend just anyone owning one. They require a lot of maintenance and attention. They also have extremely powerful beaks, they both could bite through bone and make you loose a section of your finger if they really wanted to.

Also apparently a 30 year lifespan is only a bad thing if it's a snake :nope:

Psssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....these people probably think pit bulls are a "worst choice" pet...I'm not trying to start an argument, I am a pit bull advocate and own one...worst choice? no...for everyone? No...but seriously...that article was completely laughable, thanks for sharing :D

Joba: nothing final but definitely reading a lot! As spyderk said, since I asked about it I will most likely end up with one lol.

I love my boa... I think I mentioned that lol.
He is the sweetest.. He is a BCU (unknown aka generic boa). Definitely the sweetest snake I have, and I think he actually likes to come out and be handled or explore. I read that website everyone has been laughing at and I have to wonder about these so called experts....
