Must take your corn to a person who can probe.

You can pop out the males when they are very young but its not a viable way for older corns. They must be probed if you want 100% accuracy...the only other way is also a photo of the vetn and tail but this is not 100% accurate.

There is no other choice. Looking at the vent is not 100% accurate and popping can only be done in certain situations. So regardless of how you think the snake might feel about, it has to be done.

Don't worry, a probe is not like the equivilent of a lantern pole. lol

Its a very very slim instrument which goes in a very shallow depth. An actual mating would be more intrusive I think.

Just be sure you have some one experieced to show you how or it could be very dangerous. If it is an adult a tail picture can be pretty acurate, however beside from observing actual breeding/egg laying, probing is the most accurate.
