I thought I'd give you all a quick note to let you know I'm still around and thinking of ya, missing you and such.

As most of you know (those in chat especially) I've been sick the past week with some sort of unknown intestinal affliction.

I've done a battery of tests so far, and most have come back all within normal ranges. The ultrasound came back showing nothing out of the ordinary, as well. Just waiting for the results of some other tests come Monday (hopefully) to see if this is perhaps a bacterial/parasite thing.

The couch has gotten its share of my fat butt, which is why I haven't been online much. So hopefully you can understand. I'll let you know if I find out anything.

I'm hoping this crap gets behind me and I start feeling better soon. Sucks not being able to eat anything.

See you in a few days, hopefully. =)

Glad your still breathing. I've been wondering about ya and wanted to call but talking on the phone is the last thing I want to do when I feel bad. Just rest as much as you can and let us know what the doc says. :boring:

LOL! Have you tried Nutri Bac yet? I understand it works wonders for regurges. :grin01:

All joking aside, I hope you recover soon Misty! :wavey:

good luck, I myself am recovering from surgery last week so im kinda all holed up as well. Daytime tv sucks huh. Well anyway i really hope they find out whats wrong with you, i'll say a prayer.

Still not feeling better? :eek1: Well, I'll pray for you and I hope you bounce back very soon. :)

Hope you feel better soon! I too have had my fair shair of stomach and intestinal porblems from ulcers to intussusception (which basicly is the intestines digesting itself). So I know how much it sucks. I hope they have some answers for you really soon.

Thanks guys for the concern and the humor. ;)

Have you tried Nutri Bac yet?

Well maybe not Nutri-bac per se, but I've been taking my share of probiotics tablets. I figure if you're well populated with good stuff, the bad stuff doesn't have enough room to live comfortably and leaves to find better accomodations.

And yes, daytime tv absolutely sucks. I detest soaps, "elmo world", infomercials, etc. And I don't have cable/satellite. So I've been watching a lot of movies that we have at home.

My only issue right now is no appetite. Which is something I hear most American women wish to have. I've lost 12lbs in one week, but I wish I could eat. =/

And now I wish I hadn't Googled intussusception, just what my now worry-wart mind needs to think about. However it seems to afflict mostly male children. So maybe I've got that going for me.

Hopefully I'll be better soon. Sick of being sick.

You could always get some of you favorite tv shows on dvd. Im surprised at how many there are. Or if oyu dont want to go out, just amazon it. :)

Sorry to hear they still haven't figured it out, and you are still having to deal with "the yucks". :( Hopefully tomorrow will bring some answers to make you fell better. Our prayers and wishes are with you, too. Get better soon, we miss ya :)!

I miss you. please get better. Always remember. the cow skull looks like a uterus......Don't worry I'm practically living of off Penicilyn....ok i can't remember how to spell it right now.

I MISS YOU MISTY...

Update:

My tests came back today and they called me this morning....

- My blood cholesterol tests came back great and normal.

- My stool cultures came back negative for Salmonella, E.coli, Giardia, and whatever else they tested for. I still have one last vial to send in, however. But I expect it to be a moot point at any rate.

The fecal results are kind of irking. I was hoping to find something to pin it on and something to treat. But alas, I am NEVER that simple. ;)

I am feeling a lot better than I was initially. No more ungodly nausea, diarrhea, or abdominal pain. But I still have absolutely no appetite and am somewhat dehydrated.

I literally have to force myself to eat, which if it weren't for the fact I've been sick and haven't eaten less in 8 days than what I'd typically consume in 2-3, it'd be a great diet. I've lost 13lbs since I first got sick.

Plain toast, no-fat yogurt (blech), bananas, plain chicken breast meat have been my friends. And I'm one who loves spicy food. So this whole thing has been a bland experience I wish to not repeat any time soon.

The general practitioner went ahead and made me an appointment with a Gastroenterologist next Wednesday. So we'll see what he has to say after that (at least a name would be a place to start). Hopefully I stay healthy and feeling well in the meantime.

On a side note, I am so behind on rodents its sad. I took a look the other day, now that smells don't make me want to hurl, and I've got over 100 pinks of various sizes I need to feed off and my goodness. Its like coming back from vacation and having to get back into the swing of things. I am so glad that snakes only require weekly maintenence at the very least.

Tammy, if you need pinks, c'mon over and take what you need.

You're a bit too far for me to take any pinks off your hands but I'm glad to hear you're on the mend anyway.

Keep getting well(er) ..... :)
