Injury Concern

My corn keeps falling over while he extends his body to the top of the enclosure. He is about 2 feet long and crashes to the cage floor making a noticable sound. Will this cause injury? I do have a climbing tree but he decides to use his length instead. My cage is 2 ft. tall. Any advice welcome.

No you'll be fine, mine use to hang from the top of the cage and fall on to the bedding, hides, or water bowl. Imagine them out in the wild....falling from tall trees to the ground? My snake would drop and be so loud he would wake me up at 4 am, every morning!!! lol and you know what the kicker is? He would do it all over again until he realized that falling isn't fun anymore! But then again he would do it the next night....I'm sure your snake will be fine. Mine never hurt himself!!! :)

hahaha, mine snake also does this all the time and it doesn't seem to injure him at all because he's doing it all over again 5 minutes later.

My snakes also do this and no injuries so far. I haven't heard of a snake injuring itself in this way. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Mine's been doing it for over a decade and still no injuries... You will get used to the THUDs in the night ;)

Yea sheldon does this a lot but he is small so no loud thuds yet. Penny on the other hand only falls off a hide about 6 inches tall but its loud

mine too.....not so much since they've surpassed the 200 gram mark..but when they hatchlings...everynight...like clockwork....you could here them falling all over the place.....no injuries.
