Whoa...

...Cool looking snake Clint. Is that from your Motley Okeetee project? :shrugs:

I like the clown face on top of the head. You can really make out the eyes, nose and mouth if you look at it right.

Walter :)

That is the result of crossing a pair of Okeetee color Milksnake phase from a Motley-Stripe (Love's Okeetee het Motley X SerpenCo Milksnake phase) X Milksnake phase. The little turd has refused it's pinkie twice now, time to resort to my bag of tricks!
I was just about to put that pair up for sale, maybe not...............

They are an offshoot of the OkMot project.
Here's a full body shot....

wow~~

I love the head pattern plus the patterns that it has got~~!!

Great snake!
One of the best looking hatchlings of the year!

What a drag huh when special hatchlings don't eat straight for you.. I have a clutch of 13 special corns here that are 5 weeks old. Only three hatchlings have eaten... I am in the trick part now. Every other few days I am trying a new trick. I have tried so far, chick scented pinks, live pinks, lizzards scented pinks, even lizzards... Nothing so far.. I guess I will be force feeding a lot of corns soon.. ;(

Marcel try scenting the pinks with rat pups or rabbit pups (if you can get hold of them)worked a treat on alot of my difficult feeders last year.

Heck, Clint, when I looked at that photo, first thought to pop into my mind was that it was going to be a problem feeder for you. Getting to the point where I can recognize subtle things about babies, I guess.

Hope he turns around for you. Neat looking little critter.

Marcel, what technique do you use when force feeding?

Clint,

I use two techniques. Actually one technique and two food sources. One is chicklegs which work really well. The othe is adult mice tails. I cut it off after one inch and leave quite a bit of flesh of the butt of the mouse on it. I know it sounds terrible. I am sorry about that. I open the mouth and put a piece of tail in and then close the mouth. Then I gently pull the tail so that it gets stuck on the teeth. Then I place the corn back in it's box where it swallows the tail hopefully itself. It works 5 out of 10 times.

Ya, that Aztec Miami of mine still hasn't eaten yet. Although I had 16 hatchlings that had all refused to eat twice even when left in thier deli cup all night. I tried separating them all into thier own enclosure for a couple of days and after being isolated, 9 of the 16 ate. Another reason why keeping them together isn't so great, unfortunately I don't have an alternative for hatchlings myself. I just can't get correct temps in those deli cups. Of course the Aztec Miami still didn't go for that either. Her mother had to be started on lizard scented so I bet that will bring her down!
Candy Cane...
I got her from Walter Smith, I can't wait to breed her next year!
