Pragmatic & Logical
by the hubby of one of our own members, JoannaD. The reason I became aware of it is because the developer (Paul Michaels) is the same person who produced my 2 snake sexing videos that so many of you have probably seen. So when I heard about the new project, I was excited to see what it is all about.
Seems like this is a meeting of several different methods to keep kids engaged while they learn about wildlife. It includes stories in graphic novel form as well as related games, and even a chance to involve creativity by making up their own dialogue. The stories are based on real life biologists and their field work. Sounds like an exciting way to get kids "behind the scenes" while using technology and the kind of platforms that they enjoy.
Take a look for yourself, and watch the video in which Paul explains the project here: http://www.wildrz.com/
He only has until about Christmas to raise funds to get it off the ground. So if you like it, please share it on FB or other forums, or you can even support it yourself - info is on the site.
I would love to be able to get this for some of my nephews and nieces for Christmas. Guess it won't be this year yet, but maybe next year.
I am hoping that Joanna or Paul will come to answer any questions if there are any.
Let me know what you think, since I don't have kids of my own and I don't own an iPad, either, lol!
