Hello I am DJ but most ppl just call me Cat :) I have been owned by mostly exotic birds (over 400 at one time) but now my collection of animals has grown alot to include snakes, lizards and other various animals. I have taken many of my animals to my son's school (with permission from all) and had a really great time doing that :)

I have been reading alot in the forums and still trying to get the hang of it but I have learned alot and hopeing to learn alot more!! I have my first clutch of snake eggs this year (at day 30) and I am a nervous reck LOL

Hi Cat! Welcome to the forum! And congrats on the eggs! Just curious, did you get a male on a breeder loan as all the snakes listed in your signature are females? I'm still waiting for the chance to bring some snakes to my children's school. I have a talk on genetics all figured out, but I guess my children are not old enough yet to be learning that.

hi there and no, not really a loan. The male is my mothers candy cane... wasnt an intentional breeding. I didnt realize my mother had my 2 girls she has in with her male... and my girls are now 2 years old... and well, nature took its course. I never ever planned on breeding snakes, they are my pets but... I cant just throw eggs away either so :) (after I found out how she had them housed, the male is now alone, I am ok about putting certain snakes together but not mixing sexes)
