Introducing Serenity, future girlfriend of Atari.

More drooling.....

She is SO pretty. I love how clean her pattern is. (I know that's normal for coxi, but still--it's so CLEAN!)

Got Serenity out last night to feed her, she ate right away, yay! Snapped a few pictures while she was out.

Took pictures of almost all the snakes we fed last night and got some of Serenity.

Was feeding Serenity today and snapped a few pictures. She's about diametrically opposed to her name, she's often a whirling little biting machine and will even bite herself while attempting to get me. But she makes up for that by being quite beautiful!

Here are some new pictures of Serenity from just a few minutes ago. She's getting huge! It's interesting how her cross bars on her neck have faded almost completely.

And yes, I'm wearing sissy gloves, because she can be a whirlwind biting diva and I've found rubber gloves to help a lot in keeping high strung snakes calm.

Serenity was out and about a few minutes ago, so I decided to snap a few pictures.

She shed a few days ago and it was incomplete, had to give her a sauna to get the last of it off, so pardon the bits of shed in the pictures.

Got these but she got really pissed off at the camera and started trying to come through the glass to eat it, so I stopped before she could hurt herself. Have to laugh every time I say her name, it's a pretty name for a beautiful girl, but there is nothing serene about Serenity!

Nope !
Maine is very restrictive. The list of what is allowed is very odd also. Hopefully (for the better)in the next few weeks we will see a change in how they restrict pets in Maine. You have to apply and lobby to get something new added and it is usually shot down in the end. Outlawed are Iguanas, red ear sliders, womas for example but you can have a calibar ground boa captive bred only. Ya find one that's not an import ha-ha.
I do have a diversified collection for Maine beyond the red tail boa and ball python that is usually your choice in Maine pet stores.
We do reptile shows at local pet stores to educate, even though limited, what you can have legally here in Maine.
