Brace yourselves; kitten season is coming.
I've taken on my first litter, a pair of 3-weekers who finally have accepted the bottle. And so, pictures!
I would like to introduce you first to the male of the pair, Cilantro.
He was the first one to take to the bottle, is the larger kitten, and definitely the more demanding of the duo. His meow is LOUD. He's also a greedy sod with the bottle and eats a ton.
He has a few quirks though. One of which is to slide partly down my leg during feeding time so as to wedge himself in odd positions.
His significantly smaller sister is Chives. She has a pretty, dainty 'mew!' at meal times, unlike her brother's obnoxious 'MEEEEEEEEEEEE!' And that pretty, dainty mew goes great with her pretty, dainty self.
One thing she is certainly not lacking in is the hair department. I've raised up several medium-haired kittens, and none of them had hair as long as her at this age. She will have long flowing fur methinks.
Another thing she is not lacking in is 'tude. She definitely fits the idea of "tiny and fierce". As proof, here she is biting the ever loving bejebus out of her brother.
So there we are. An introduction to the first of my 2014 fosters. I will update this thread with more photos of Cilantro and Chives, as well as all future fosters I get suckered into. And considering I work at a humane society... I expect there will be a LOT.
