at the risk of sounding crude my little guy hasn't , it's been over 10 days since he ate and typically it's around 3days after when fecal matter will be present somewhere....but 10 days, and nothing..... i'm debating feeding him on schedule because I've noticed before if he has a slight bulge in the back end but doesn't go at all he will go shortly after eating.

any thoughts?

I would stick with the feeding schedule and not worry about the poop. But I must also ask the age of the snake. I'm thinking it's a yearling or younger.

I would also say feed..I've had a snake that was impacted once and if the snake is impacted it won't eat..If he doesnt eat in a week or two then you made need to consider an impaction and the treatment for that..But dont get stressed to quickly:)

I agree to keep with the same feed schedule. During the time you have him out of viv to feed him, you can look through his substrate to see if his poo could've got hidden in there. I have had a couple of snakes that have pooed under the substrate occasionally.

I would also say don't worry about it. My creamsicle has never been that, ahem, "regular" and he's a huge healthy eight year old now :)

I also would go with the normal feeding schedule. As Rich says you may not have noticed his toilet under the substrate.

Another thing to consider, has he just gone into blue? Because my corns when in blue don't defecate until they shed. Just another possibility.

Best wishes,

problem has worked itself out....i fed him, after the first post suggesting sticking to feeding. afew days later (to my dissmay) he was incredibly disproportioned in the back half and i was really worried but then the next night he went, and now seems to be his adventuring self again. I had been checking in the substrate cause i had hoped it was just me not seeing it. but either way it's worked out, thanks for the input, as always cornsnakes.com ppl roxor
