Gross. Some folks out here have their tap water lighting on fire due to fracking. Doesn't explain the snow though!

Yeah, but the gas companies will tell you that the water is not contaminated. Burning water would REALLY concern me. Imagine if your house were burning and you hooked up a hose to try to put it out.

So what is it? It's clearly not water since it didn't melt, even if there's other contaminants in there.

Weird Rich, did you take both of those videos? I think I'm glad I live over here in Western Washington, out of the way from all of this crazyness.

Tara....

Yes...I took both videos with the cell phone. I think I'll do a few more experiments over the weekend... Sorta like what rich z. Suggested. See where this leads us.

Nova....

Beats me! I have no clue. But I'm interested.

I'm sure there is some scientific explanation. ; )

Did the handful of, well, snow eventually melt in room temperature? If so, was the water noticibly contaminated with something?

Meh that's nothing. In Ohio whole rivers burn.

Snow Experiment.

Ok...collected two Samples. Start time of experiment is 7:15 Pm

Temp In the room...75* (Don't Ask...)

The Deli On the left....I Formed into an "Ice" Ball(s). Should take Longer to Melt than the one on the right...which was scooped in...untouched.

The deli...as I hope EVERYBODY knows...has holes in it....the Jar is Air tight.

Let the games begin.

8:15 Pm (1 Hour in)

At about 55 Minutes in...both samples began to act like you'd expect frozen water to act in a 75* environment. :)

So..... I guess...the reality here is....There is Nothing funny about this Snow.

Science wins Again! :)

So..you might be thinking....In the one video....the snow didn't melt when you put the flame to it.

well, Actually, It did.....you just couldn't see it.... The intense heat of the flame was causing the snow to evaporate before water could pool up underneath it.

As for the "Burnt" Snow..... Suet from the lighter's flame....All i can think of.

Off to find the next conspiracy...........:sidestep:

To help make this make sense....

I saw this video on youtube/Fb where this person did the exact same thing....Using a lighter on a chunk of snow...and it produced no water. Claimed Chemtrails were responsible.

So i thought i'd try it...we have plenty of snow..so why not?

Well, today at work....i thought....you're pretty stupid rich. :) the flame Was probably causing the snow to evaporate before it could melt. DUH!!!

Oh well, It was fun either way.

Thanks for taking a look.....
