Julio and Lola

Murphy is my Sancho :/
Well, I waited as long as I could :).Still taking cruddy pics, but here are my latest additions from Carol. Julio the Miami and Lola the Milksnake Phase. I know that close up is way out of focus, but she just has to have her nose right up in everything! Since I opened the shipping box, she has been curious about everything always has her head poked out looking around or as you can see trying to get close up and personal with everyone and everything. Julio seems a little more laid back. I can't wait to see their personalities develop even more :).

Wow! I love them. :) You'll have to keep sharing pics, I want to see how they mature. It looks like they have nice personalities too!

Thanks for the kind words :). Maybe someday I will learn to take pics that will actually do justice to all my lovely babies.
I always get a chuckle when people ask why I like snakes "because they don't do anything or have any personality". If they only knew!

Well, I find it's hit and miss with snake photos. Sometimes I'll want to take pics and can't get ANY good shots . . . whether it's just the snake's mood, lighting, or whatever . . . :shrugs: but it just doesn't work out. The rest of the time I usually have to take at least 5 or 10 to get a good one, I just have to keep trying and usually I don't know which will be good until I download them. Also, some of my snakes are much easier to photograph than others.

Every one of my snakes has it's own personality! So I think it's interesting too that many people seem to think they are all the same. And even so, sometimes I'll notice a usually sociable snake isn't, or that one that is usually a PITA whipping all around will be in a "friendly" mood. LOL So far I've only had one striker, but as she's matured she's really settled down and is a sweetie now. But besides their interesting little personalities, I think snakes are just beautiful and fascinating creatures. I know a LOT of people don't think they are beautiful tho! :( But I've e-mailed photos to a lot of my friends who don't like snakes and they have to admit that they look very nice, they just say they wouldn't want one in their house. :shrugs:
