Just my luck..........

Country boy gone wild
Well, im going around my hatchling tubs with water and pinkies because its feeding night, and i find two snakes dead for no apparent reason...... one of which was one of the 4 survivors of my hatching problems. (just search it in my threads, you'll find it) I dont get what i did wrong... they still had a bit of water left, and they had been fed a week ago.....

What do you guys think?????

Do you check on them every day? Were they acting weird prior to their mortality? From what I understand unexplainable death happens sometimes with hatchlings even if you do everything right. I'm sorry for you loosing them though, that sucks.

Two at once could be coincidence or bad luck - as K says, you can lose youngsters suddenly for no apparent reason.

However, it's worth checking environmental stuff that could have affected both, just in case you need to do something to keep your other snakes healthy.
* Heating still within safe limits (not over 90 degrees).
* Nobody has used anything chemical in that room - air freshener, household cleaners, bug spray etc.
* No chance of fumes getting into the room through windows - neighbours painting, laying tarmac, creosoting fences etc.

Yep, I check them every two days to give fresh water.

Heating is at 85 F. The only cleaner possibility could be that a house hold cleaner could have blown or wafted into the room. All of our neibors are at least a quarter of a mile of a way from our house, so i doubt that would make a difference. Unless some pesticide blew into the window from 500 yards away, nothing....

Sometimes you can never find a reason why and simply have to learn to accept that fact that it happens. Sorry for your loss.
