It won't be unhappy.

They can live alone their entire lives and be 100% as healthy as a corn who breeds/ or has a cagemate. In fact, most snakes prefer to be solitary as much as possible aside from breeding season.

Males get active in spring searching for a female, and some may go off feeding at this time for a couple weeks or even a month or more. This is normal.

Females do quite nicely with no males around as well.

weird but, humans and dolphins are the only animals that have sex for pleasure. I don't think a corn would mind having it or not ;)
