I had to post these here since this is the photos forum...and I think I'm bored with that other thread....so, the first five are the pics of the baby I got this sunday at a petco near us. It's a snow...and I don't know the gender...and the pics are a little blurry, but some are decent. Enjoy!

P.S. The second five, in the next post are of the male I got today from a guy in my class...I don't know the name of the morph...so if you guys could let me know what you think, that would be great!

Here it is...I didn't wanna type it all again....but it's great that everyone thinks that he's in a better place, cuz that's what I think too. The post describing it is near the bottom, or you could read the whole thing.
Good news! My little girl (I decided to call the snow a girl since she's giving me the female vibe) had her first meal at my house today! Two small pinkies! It was insane to watch! I tried to take pics so you guys could see my little baby's first meal here, but the camera was being crappy, so I just decided to watch. It was so kewl! I can't wait to see the big guy eat! :grin01: But it was so awesome to watch it, cuz when it was in her jaws, it looke way way too big, but when it was in her belly, it barely even appeared! So we'll just hope for a not regurge, which I doubt will happen anyways, cuz she seemed pretty confortable with us all watching (actually only two people) and she took both of them right away. I'm so happy and I can't wait till next wednesday to do it again!
Quick question for you advanced herpers! Will a snake take a meal if it's not hungry? Cuz the big boy was being a little edgy today and he was trying to "kill" our hands constantly when I took him out to show my snake luving cousin. I think maybe he thought it was feeding day, and the lady who gave me the snake was misinformed. She told me he ate earlier this week...but I might be doubting it....

Any reason why you decided to feed two pinkies instead of one for her first meal? I would stick to a small meal for the first one just to make sure you don't get regurge. I'm sure she'll be fine, but if she's able to eat two pinkies, then she's already able to take a fuzzy and you may as well start with those. A snake will not usually take a meal if it's not hungry. Your new snake just might not be comfortable with being handled yet, especially if he was never handled much, or only handled to be fed. It could set off the feed response. If it's been 4 or 5 days since he was fed, then he probably is hungry, but wait until his normal feed day. He's large enough to only be fed every 7 days. If your baby is still on pinkies, I would feed every 5 days instead. Once they're off pinkies I usually go to every 7.

She's not big enough to handle anything other than pinkies, they wouldn't fit, but she can handle two pinkies. It was amazing that she could even fit a small pinky in her little tiny itty bitty mouth. I would be afraid to feed her anything else.
As far as the big guy goes, I'm gonna try not to hold him until next wednesday when I will feed him, by then, he should be hungry and then I'll leave him alone, and then I can hold him. Maybe his temper will improve even slightly. He just tries to constrict everything a lot. It was kinda scary.

WHAT! You listen to the pet store lady. Come on Kristin, I thought you been reading up on this site. What's the snake girth?? You know the 1 1/2 rule right? tis tis.
Also I handle other corn snakes and they constrict (squeeze) too. So I think this is commom.
