Actually we have that happen quite a bit at my work. When that happens there usually are a lot (12-18), but the mother knows she can't support that many so she eats a few a leaves only the amount she thinks she can feed.JAG 32 said:

She has had 8 so far with more to come... I have a problem though... She has her own hide in there, but she is having her babies in the same hide as the other 11 one week old pinkies and I am worried the new pinkies won't be able to compete for food and survive... Any suggestions???

I think mice know what they are doing with that sort of thing. She may feel more comfortable with all the babies together. I've heard that mommas take turns caring for the babies. I'll keep my fingers crossed that everything goes well.

I've found if you have newborns born to a nest full of fuzzies or larger, you'll end up with a litter full of starving newborns in a day or so. They're just not strong enough to compete for the nozzles.
Usually when that happens, I try to find a use for the older ones, or move the entire litter of newborns to a colony with babies of around the same size. Most momma mice don't care whose babies they are, just so long as they're babies.

I had a similar issue recently but mine were closer in age, 3 days apart. At first I tried separating them into different piles and hides but they'd always end up back in a community pile so I left them. I kept an eye on them and while the older ones are growing more quickly, the younger ones seem to be doing ok. I've since culled off al \l but the keepers and unfortunately there are too many keepers. Some very cool red/black brindles and "blues".
With yours being a week older I'd keeo an eye on the younger ones and make sure they are getting fed, if not you might need to separate the older ones into a different tank.

1st question i guess i missed it how many did she have i have one white mouse that gets huge like that the most she ever had was 17 i keep my pregnant females together well i put them in a separate cage when i think there close to pooping or even the ones that have a litter with the one who hasn't yet and haven't had any problems yet the only thing Ive noticed is on occasion they have eaten a baby or so but i think that more because there were something wrong with them well good luck

Haven't gotten a good count yet... I think she only had like 10 or so though :S... I took 3 of the 1 week old ones and put them with a different mother in another tank and am gonna see how she accepts them... If they are doing well tomarrow, I will transfer the rest leaving just the new pinks in the current container...
