Lighting advice

I have an Amel cornsnake in a 30 long tank. What is the best lighting that I should use for her? I know due to her partial albinism to avoid any type of UV bulb. What is the best type of bulb to use? I do have an under tank heater on the tank as well

Cornsnakes do not require lighting. If you need a light to see her with in the evening, I've used small LED strip lights with success.

I don't use lights at all. Some folks have reported that Corns hide away more when you use lights, which makes sense as they're usually active at times of low or no light in the wild. UV is generally avoided for all Corns as it's designed for species which are dependant on exposure to UV for metabolising calcium - Corns don't have this.

As Nanci says, LEDs are good as occasional viewing lights because they give out very little heat and so don't upset the heating arrangements. Most other light sources - even flourescent and low-wattage bulbs - give off a lot more heat.
