Little Boy

This is Little Boy, my male 2010 BCI. I suppose, as boas go, his coloring is plain and nothing special, but he is VERY special to me. He may well be my favorite snake, in fact :).

We visited an exotic animal expo last autumn, where he was practically given to me ($20), as he was supposed to be a non-feeder. He has eaten well for us from day one. I take pictures of him occasionally, but he's a difficult subject, as he never holds still. Nevertheless, I got a few semi-decent photos of him tonight, just before feeding time. I thought I'd share. I love this boy :).

He's very pretty! That is awesome that he has eaten well for you!
Too bad they get bigger than what I'd want to deal with, every BCI I've met seem to have so much personality.

That's a very pretty BCI. I have an '08 BCI that is now 5 1/2 feet long and 5.7 lbs. They grow very fast! And it's amazing how strong they get. Mine has more of a rust colored tail, not as red as yours. But, like you, I love BCIs. Mine is so gentle, he's never nipped us in the year and a half we've had him. He really seems to enjoy being handled.

I like to tell non-snake people that he's very tame, that he's never tried to kill anybody - and then, of course, I say I'm only joking. I know I shouldn't do that, but sometimes I can't help myself! BCIs are pretty impressive, especially to people who don't know much about snakes.

Very pretty. I really like the look of "plain old normal" BCI's. We have one named Carlos. He is about 7.5 feet now and should be done growing, and he's more of a buff color than yours, but he's a great snake, does really well at public displays and is very nice and predictable.

Very nice snake!
