He was a little pissy at first, typical hissing real loud and puffing up and striking out. He calmed down I suppose once he realized I wasn't a threat to him. Cool liitle snake. First one I've seen out here in 25 years. Copperheads,Cottonmouths,Coral Snakes,Rat snakes,etc all the time, but only 1 Hognose.
 
so cool! I find signs of southern hogs around my house all the time, but can't actually find a hog...all the toads/frogs are gone too.
 
Your lucky! wish I could see some wild reptiles, been looking for ages, but its rare to see em in england, I used to catch newts when I was little and then let them go again, I thought they where pretty cool :)

One of the many disadvantages of living in a city, you don't see cobra-impersonaters in your backyard :( I did see a grass snake at camp though once!
