Surrounded by snakes
I got Wednesday the Ghost Motley and Eddie the Granite at the same time, when they were both babies (2-3 months old, maybe?). Eddie was bigger at 21g, whereas little Wednesday only weighed 11g... it's now three months later, and the boy weighs 43g while the girl is still only 17g! :shrugs:
I know the main reason behind the difference in growth, which is that he'll eat anything and everything I offer, but she is finicky - only live pinky mice/rats thus far, and seems full after one. Eddie, on the other hand, is devouring two f/t fuzzies weekly, and would happily eat 10 if I allowed it. In looking at the Munson plan, it seems she's ready for double pinks, and I've been feeding less frequently than suggested... I can only feed live every 7 days, as that's how often my live-feeding ball pythons eat. Since I have to drive 10 miles (each way) for decent feeders, I'm not making extra trips for one pinky mouse!
Munson also suggests Eddie's weight equals one fuzzy, but he looks so ravenous I always give him two. Is that okay? He doesn't look fat at all, in fact I think he's the perfect weight for his length. As for finicky Wednesday, should I maybe bump her up to 3 pinks weekly? Would that help to kick-start her growth? I don't know that much about corn growth, but 6g in 3 months does seem awfully slow! She hasn't refused a meal since the first month, when I gave up on getting her to take frozen... so I thought she would have gained more weight by now. Whaddya think?
P.S. I'll try to get some pictures later, but my camera charger is on the lam.
I can't believe how much the boy has grown!
