For christmas, my parents bought me a cornsnake. I was wondering if you could tell the sex of the snake without probing or popping (from what I have researched). Thanks. and by the way, I have a baby reverse okeetee.
 
If the tail is clear or white, you may be able to see the red dots of hemipenes within the tail, if it is a male. Some people are really good at this!

You could make a guess by tail shape, but that is all it would be, a guess.
 
You can by the length of it's tail, but it's very inaccurate. Don't know if long tail was male or female though.

Absolute fool proof way and dead simple...

get yourself a larg shoe box, at one end pierce a small metal bar through about an inch up from the floor, at the other end glue a small mirror like those used in bird cages...

place the snake in the middle and wait, if it goes to the end with the bar its a male, if it goes to the end with the mirror it is a female......

How does this work? I am not saying it is wrong, but it doesn't seem correct. i'll give it a try ut again, what do i know? Im a newbie!
