Maya's Story

Hello and thank you to Shelby. Us pet mamas can get pretty nuts sometimes (most times?) so it's nice to meet others!

Maya weighed in at 20 grams tonight, the first weigh-in after her shed. Chris, is she on track for her age and close to others from her line?

She is still eating one pinkie every 5-7 days and those are weighing around two grams on average. I took a look at the Munson Plan and it looks as though she is ready for two pinkies per feeding. Is this so? I definitely wouldn't feel comfortable offering a fuzzy anytime soon as I still feel as though she's only very slightly wider at her belly than the pinkies are.
 
She sounds like she's right on track. You could do two pinkies, I'd try small "peach" fuzzies. One trick is to take a thawed fuzzy and gently finger roll it between thumb and fingers. This will stretch it out some, reducing it's girth, making it easier to swallow. Pics when possible please ;)
 
I need to get an up-to-date weight on her so I can make sure she is still on track, but I wanted to check in to say that she is just wonderful and we love her a lot. Many thanks to her breeder, Chris (chris68).

Chris, I don't recall her hatch date. Do you have those records?
 
She is beautiful!

My pretty girl is a year old now! She just shed this week and I can't manage to measure her, but her shed measured 29". She weighs 55g now! The last of her fuzzies was 5g, so it looks like she is bumping up to 10g hoppers now?

Chris, is she on track with the rest of her line?
