Me and my new snake!

Hello! Just got my first corn this past week and fed it today for the first time! It was very exciting and it ate like a champ. It's a little over a year old. It only ate one pinky but I figured that's better than nothing. I think I'll get bigger mice after using all the pinkies I bought, they're smaller than I realized in comparison to what the snake seems to be able to eat!

I think I'm going to name it Rumplestiltskin (lol more like Rumplesnakeskin), or Rumple for short. I don't know its sex because neither did the pet store, talk about lame.I'd like to find out one day, though.

I've been lurking this forum for a couple days and it's super helpful!

Oh and here are some pictures! I literally took these the night I took Rumple home because other than that night and today during the quick feeing I haven't seen much of it him at all, haha~ he stays under the aspen even though there is a half log hide for him.

With that coloring and those googly eyes, it was love at first sight <3

Shootshootshoot I'm sorry those are waaaay bigger than I thought they were! They show up on Facebook a lot smaller D;

Well dear god man, those pics are huge!
But that is a nice looking snake and welcome to the world of Corn snakes. You'll want another very soon. Just got mine 2-3 weeks ago and looking at another one! Lol

Welcome to corn snake owning! If you are to get another one, I would get it from a trusted breeder or an expo near you. I actually got my corn snake from these forums! Of course, this is assuming by the statement "I don't know its sex because neither did the pet store" you are saying you got him or her from a pet store.

hello, and welcome.

I think he should most definitely be bumped up to fuzzys atleast, my year old corn is 192 grams and only has one more double Hopper meal to go and then hell be getting adult Mice..

sounds like he was being under fed at the petshop..
