Meet Bacon...

Go Penguins!!!
This lil guy came home as a non feeder with my husband today from his work. I had been thinking about buying him but worried because he isnt a good eater. The manager just gave him to us, he was tired of messing with him.

My good friend Bob helped name him Bacon.

I was extremely lucky today and got him to eat a pinkie thawed in chicken broth and brained in a small meal worm container. Ate within 30 mins.

He's a cutie and what a perfect name for him! I love his name. Happy to hear you already got him to eat. What kind of snake is he?

i think hognoses are so fricking cute!!! my old roommate had one that she could NOT get to eat on his own, ever and she tried every trick in the book...she had him for almost a year if not longer and had to force feed him every time...she finally gave up on him ever eating on his own so she gave him to a local herp rescue :( i'm glad you got this lil guy to eat :)

That's a pretty hog! (Local question - Did he come from Clarks? I really need to explore the shops in town. The one non-chain store around us is utter crap.)

Jealous!

We just have "Rio Rancho Pets" and the reptile section is ghastly. There's a white out corn there that's beautiful but is apparently "very bad" and marked down to $59.99. When I asked if it was "very bad" because it was going through a bad shed I was told that it was actually because it strikes at everything, including the glass.

Awe. I don't go to Rio Rancho much. My husband works at Clarks while he finishes school, we live across the street.

Ive picked up some corns that have attitude. lol They keep their attitude.

Bacon! What a great name! I've had my hognose for ten years, and she's still my favorite snake. :)

He looks great. Glad that he seems to have gotten over his feeding issue.

I saw a couple today at the local pet store (Wildside Pets). One of them was a "green" version. The other was quite a bit smaller than Bacon (I actually thought of your little guy when I saw the ones at the store). ;-)

Needless to say, I was successful at beating back temptation... LOL.

Bacon is getting so big...

Here are a couple of pictures. Sorry so crappy, I just grabbed my cell phone and Bacon didn't want to sit still.
