Well this is my Portland, OR rep show purchase. I have 1.1 amel adult now I have added another girl. When I purchased her at show she was blue, she shed Wed, nice one piece shed, ate Thurs, no problem. While she is very active she is very nice to handle. A few people at the show thought she is an RO. I haven't weighed her yet, we stretched her out on the bed and she is very close to 5'+. Oh! by the way she was $30.00 owner a young guy didn't want her anymore.. The price tag said $45, when I asked because I thought maybe I wasn't seeing the 1 ($145) the guy said well I'll take $30.00. Got a belly shot in for Dean. enjoy, susan

Wouldn't be a bad snake to start an RO project with, and at a real nice price, too...Very nice :*)

Congrats Susan. Her previous owner might have been tired of her, but it doesn't look like he skipped any feedings. She's a big girl. Thanks for the ventral shot-- cool belly on that girl. :)

Thanks everyone, she graced us with her first poo about 1/2 hour from home, which was a good sign. Once I took her out after shed I thought she may be gravid as she is very filled out, but I can't feel any. eggs The guy said she laid some eggs earlier in summer, some good-some bad, but since it belonged to some kid he didn't know much beyond that.

Now that's a great pick up Susan, she's gorgeous, love that belly!

:-offtopic I also love the quilt she's laying on, did you make that yourself? If so that's a work of art!

:-offtopic Thank you, yes I did make that quilt it's hubby's favorite. Sorry to say I've made so many I could wall paper two houses with them they are everywhere.

Thank you so much. I noticed you have leopard geckos, how do you like them. I won one at the show and he's a sweety, but a new animal always makes me a little nervous. Any tips? thanks susan

Great looking snake, and I agree with everyone that's said she looks like an RO :). Either way, she is one great pickup for just $30! Congrats

I love my little geckos! hehe I bought them first for my son but I have really taken them as mine :) I have found that they actually like to climb (was told they didnt) but I have a huge fake plant in there with a large wooden peice that is abit tilted... one especially loves to go inside the leaves to Hunt! its amazing hehe their little tails rattle just before they jump on their crickets. I feed mine on small crickets.. they dont really go for worms and I cant stand roaches :( but I do dust the crickets once a week for them. I do offer greens but only one seems to care for them at all. They are super easy to care for and love when I go in to clean... meaning they Have to be where I am cleaning no matter which end of the tank I am doing at the time hehe :) Only real 'tip' I can think of is making sure they have a very low water dish... mine like to sit in there and soak.. but they dont like cold water so I have it partially under their heat light so they can have a warm bath when they want :) for their water dish I use the bottom of a flower pot :)

What a wonderful pick-up!
She sure looks like an RO to me, very vibrant colors and pretty white borders.
ROs are my very favorite variety of amels. Definately in a class by themselves :)

(You do know that Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, was REALLY the good one, doncha?)
:D

she looks great Susan, I bet Oz will like her ;) You have quite a RO thing going- I think Dorothy also has some nice big white borders right?
