thats a beauty!!! i looked for one of the red mountain rats as well, been wanting one for a while. thought i had found a nice one there, but upon inspection he had a couple of patches of missing scales... so the search continues, which always makes this hobby a blast! congrats on the great find!!
 
This is Mini-Butters. He ate one of the two pink heads, praise the lord!! I was freaking out since he didn't eat right away and required a reheat!!

Seems to be going for around $150 to $300, depending on age, gender, etc. Most I've seen are in between there. Only see ads for them occasionally.
 
He is gorgeous in pics, but stunning in real life! I have always thought of getting one, but the price has never been right. Maybe one day though. Gorgeous!!

Coincidentally, I have been in the process of trying to get a pair or two. LoL
One breeder, that I made an inquiry to, has not responded, yet, though (hope soon).
Have seen some others for sale but, so far, those have been the kawakamii subspecies (or kawakamii look alikes).
 
Maybe Carol can remember the breeder that had the hatchlings. It might have been Pro Exotics.

Pro Exotics is who I made an inquiry to (a couple of days ago).
Am hoping they reply soon. Might have to call them if they do not.

LLL had an adult male which had scale damage. What about CF Snakes? That is the first place I ever saw them.
 
The 2011's that Pro Exotics had had one or two connections crossing up by the neck, like the rungs of a ladder. I don't know what the significance of that is.

I would much rather buy them from a breeder that I know and trust. :D
 
Thanks for the links! I saw those ones on Fauna. Unless I see some at the expo here in a bit though, I'm probably going to have to wait a bit. Have no money at the moment! I'd scrape some together if there is a good one at the expo but probably best to wait. And now I have the added possibility of getting one from Carol!

Also noticed that the Pro Exotics Ad (for coxi) is, now, gone (though it was still there earlier today). Don't know if it expired or if they sold them all ... if they sold them all, it might explain why I never heard back from them.LOL

Seriously though, I'd be willing to put a deposit up for a pair of those babies.
