Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....

Please be certain that the location field is correctly filled out when you register. All registrations that appear to be bogus will be rejected. Which means that if your location field does NOT match the actual location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected.

Sorry about the strictness of this requirement, but it is necessary to block spammers and scammers at the door as much as possible.

Militarization of the police

Notice how it's getting hard to tell cops from SWAT any more?

Uniforms have evolved. So what that we don't look like we're ready for a parade down main street anymore with shiny buttons and brass. We now have heavier body armor and carry more stuff on our belts. Functionality is more important than glitz.

We do the things most people can't or won't do. We have to be warriors because we are alone out there for the most part.

Or you "have to be warriors" because you now kick in doors at 4 AM rather than serve a warrant because it's profitable.

Those sworn to "serve and protect" should be the FIRST questioning actions like that second article. 30 officers surrounding a house and they couldn't serve a valid warrant, total BS. These blanket raids on a whole complex are nothing more than a violation of the 4th and 5th amendment rights. I very much support our law enforcement officers but I am vehemently opposed to ANY violation of civil and constitutional rights. ESPECIALLY by those entrusted to positions of authority.
