How big do milk snakes grow to ? And are they good snakes for non experienced snake owners ?

There are a _lot_ of species of milksnakes. Some are small, some get up to about six feet. In general, they are about like cornsnakes to care for, but most individuals are flighty and timid as hatchlings/juveniles. They flail about and fling musk and poo. A lot of them grow out of that stage, but not all.

Janine. White-side Florida Kingsnake. She's about 1200 grams, I think. Florida kings are a really nice snake.

Here's a photo of her.

Some people feed day old chicks, or quail, to cornsnakes, but I think, for my snakes, they are too big.

Ok another thing is I use a heat mat wat should be the temp In the hot end and cool end ?

The heat mat needs to be hooked to a thermostat and the warm end temp should never get over 86, measured on the glass (or plastic) right over the heater.

Depends on the snake. Some snakes like cooler temps and some like warmer. Milksnakes are really cool looking but can be more jumpy as babies. My black milk was a poop flinger when he was smaller. He's calming down but still pretty jumpy.

Kingsnakes are fun. Some can be nippy and some can be tough to get eating. I know they are really common but I LOVE brooks kingsnakes. I would love to have an anery one someday. Just a beautiful snakes with a huge feeding response. I love it.

86 f ? So do I put the probe into the tank on top of the aspen ?

For your corn snake 86F would be as high as you would want the temp, 82F-85F would be ideal. You want the probe in the tank, on the bottom (under the aspen) in the middle of the heat mat.
