Miss Pea!

It's Jager time!
Heres a wee update on my favourite green girl, Sweetpea. Shes supposed to be arboreal, but any arboreal cage she had went in messed her up... she became nervous, flighty, stopped feeding and just generally didn't enjoy her environment.

So she's been moved to the new rack and she LOVES it. Shes the most non arboreal green snake in the world LOL. And for a yearling, shes pretty damn huge... Even on a very restricted diet she won't stop growing!

Lovely facial scales :)

She's a yearling, she isn't supposed to stop growing!! I love the second picture. She looks like the ocean in the Caribbean.

I know but most other baroni her age are a skinny 3ft! Shes not a fantastic eater, infact she was a non feeder who was assist fed for the first 2 months here. Shes a good 5ft +... I expect her to be a BIG lass... perhaps 7ft. Jeebus she is going to be such a handful.

I think she is my favorite of your snakes Elle. I just love her colors and that face - how could you not love that face! You need to post more pics of her!

Thanks Katie! These are the first decent pictures of her... Shes just so difficult to shoot with a manual lens by myself. Shes a real livewire at times but deffinatley sweet as pie... or as a pea.

She's adorable! I love her coloring, and she's deffinately got the cutest nose I've ever seen! Wish we could make corns that green, lol.

Fankooo... did you know her nose is totally boingy? It's completely soft and squishy and it moves in all directions LOL

 AH!! That's so Wierd! Its like the beardies except... on a snake! *wierded out*

Beardies as in beardie dragons? They have squishy nosies?

It's ded funny watching her press her face right up to the window and see her nose squish to the side LOL

OMG, she is absolutely, stunningly, beautiful. Are you sure that she isn't going to be put up for adoption. I would very much be willing to take her out of your hands :shrugs: Oh well, good try.

Beautiful pics. Thanks

Please e-mail me when you get tired of her. HA HA HA

I am 100% positive we will never get sick of her! Shes the star of the show LOL

She is a beautiful snake!

Love the second photo.

Thank you very muchly :)

Isabel's nose is like a, I don't know, statue? Can Sweet Pea move her nose herself, or only if something touches it?

It only moves when you touch it, and even then getting her to sit still long enough for me to be able to poke it is quite a challenge LOL

Amazing snake. I can't think of too many snakes with better color. That turquoise color on her upper jaw is the best! And I'm glad you included the "crappy shot" because her ventral is insanely beautiful.

Aww thanks Dean! Her ventrum is actually pink, but you can't see it too well in that picture :(

I am glad you did not sent back the Macrolens (or smached it against the wall) LOL These pictures are awesome! man, it even made me look into Baroni's more than ever.. I might need one now too. Thanks!

Fabulous! Baroni are strange, fascinating snakes. She is really a favourite around here and she has REALLY come out her shell. She now sleeps in the open or sits with her head poking out the hides. It's the first time we have really been able to observe her behaviour in her environment before :)

My friend Shaine (I'm at work again today) just said Sweet Pea is beautiful and the only snake she likes!

Sweet Pea is adorable! I love her deep color and that lil nosey of hers.

Elle, she really is amazing, and you are doing a wonderful job with her. You must be incredibly proud to share your world with a girl like her! I know I would be, even if she's not a corn. :dancer: :D
