Hello everyone I am a noob who is so grateful for the knowledge I have received from this superb forum. I have learned that some potential health problems include scale rot, mites, and R Is. I know how to prevent scale rot. I am assuming keeping the temps right and avoiding drafts will help minimize the potential for R Is. My question is how to avoid mites? I only have one snake and he will never be around other snakes. I'm so glad I found this site before I bought a second baby because I was planning a cohab. Any input is appreciated and when I get his pic up I would love an ID I think he is a normal. He is so beautiful and I had trouble settling on a name. After his first shed I picked him up and exclaimed "Holy Moses, you are so beautiful" and then it hit me - MOSES! that's it. He is so mellow he will sit in my lap ( hidden of course) for hours. I hold him every day except when he is digesting.
