Hi there everyone! So, I've had corns for quite a few years now and I just adore them. Recently I took in two rescue females and well, they had a surprise for me on 4/2 and 4/5. First batch of eggs I had no idea what I was doing. Got a styrofoam container, plastic tub, vermiculite with no additives, and set up my own incubator. Added the second batch when she laid them.
My problem is they're already having mold issues. I mixed the vermiculite up 1:1 with water, and when you squeeze it, it only leaves a faint wet spot on your fingers, so I hope it isn't too wet. And a few eggs are dehydrated. Which is really weird, because it's only 3 out of both clutches. On those guys I have damp paper towel laying over them to hopefully rehydrate them, but I'm worried it's just going to cause an even bigger issue with mold.
I've candled everyone and except for two, everyone has good vein development that has grown bigger since they were laid. Any idea on what I can do to help these babies out?
I really appreciate any help/time you guys give me, thanks!
I've added quite a few pictures so you guys can see what I'm talking about.
Thanks guys~
