I created my own thread as not to besmirch the fine photography in Katie's post. Here's an amateur's perspective.

At the bird of prey aviary, an owl behind bars.

I found this amusing, a hollow log leading right up to the boardwalk.

Cottonmouth coming next.

Excellent pics, Mike! Nice tongue shot on the cottonmouth. Hey, wait a minute- I thought cottonmouths were so viscious they would chase you all the way back to the car! What a disappointment...I like the sculpture. I am insanely jealous of you guys.

I like the two headed dragon....

it took me second on the sculpture. I thought something was seroiusly wrong with that heron.

Great pictures, lol at myself because when I first saw the bird I thought poor bird, got slimed by an oil slick. I'm also surprised I saw the snake right off. susang

Those aren't bad pictures at all Mike! The ones of the snake came out nice, I even managed to find the snake in the first picture and I'm only half awake! lol

Right on! I found him too. Then again he was in the first place I looked- hopefully I'm not giving it away..
Looks like a good time, never seen an osprey before.

Thanks Nanci! How could you possibly be jealous, after all you created Fort Tort and are definitely in the top 5 of the coolest women I've ever met! :)
