More hatchling funkiness

Here is a somewhat zigzagged hypo Okeetee. The adults have never thrown any kind of pattern mutation before. This one is full of spit and vinegar. I got bitten at least a dozen times while trying to get a good photo.

And here is a Miami that definitely has something odd going on with his pattern.

Finally, I don't know what to call these. Dad is an Amel Motley Banded, and Mom is an Anery Motley. The resulting offspring aren't quite banded enough to be called motley bandeds, but are a little too banded to look like good motleys. Hmm.

Very COOL!

I really like that Miami and the Banded Motleys......and the Hypo Okee! ;)

Is the Miami Motley?

Probably your Hypo Okeetee has Sunkissed blood in it. They tend to be pretty spunky. I think my workers would PAY me to get rid of the whole lot of them!

And here I thought mine was the only one that tried to eat me.... :sidestep:

Is the sunkissed line from Kathy Love? This trait appeared unexpectedly in my Okeetees from her several years ago. I didn't realize there was a difference between "hypo Okeetee" and "sunkissed." I've been using the terms interchangeably. The hatchlings produced by my original pair, and the few I've raised to adulthood, have all been a little nutso. Here is Mom:

Very pretty babies Ronda, and with such nice patterns. That momma one is a real nice looker too.

Isn't it funny when those little tykers act like "big stuff". They make me laugh when they do that.

If I am right then yeah it came out of Kathy’s okeetees. The hypo okeetees that Rich has listed as such is hypo A the sunkissed line is hypo B. I in my opinion there is a distinct difference in their appearance. Of the two I like the sunkissed line best.

I managed to get rid of my sunkisseds... sure hard to find people that want them, though. The morph doesn't appear to be popular, and the attitude of the bloodline is not something many people are willing to put up with.

That having been said, the hatchling with the biggest, meanest attitude I ever saw was produced from the sweetest mom and a male that wasn't fond of handling, but wasn't aggressive either. And neither were of sunkissed lineage that I'm aware of.

I too think that sunkissed has some kind of 'evil' gene in it that makes them more 'agressive' than any other corn morphs. Cause when I was at Kathy's place a couple years ago I remember Kathy telling me that those sunkissed hypo okeetees are one of the meaniest in her collection...and for this reason I didn't really have to feed them or clean the cages of the adults....lol~

That miami is instane~ Its one of the best miami that I have seen~ Awesome animals~!!!

Great looking little ones~
