Morticia's First Feeding!

Today marks Morticia's week of being with me. While I was on lunch today I saw her out prowling around. So I decided it might be about time to see if she wants to eat.

I had her eating container and everything set up for her, but she was so voraciously hungry! I picked her up out of her viv and before I could even place her in the feeding container she striked out at the pinky and began to eat it while still wrapped around my fingers, constricted none-the-less! So, I just let her eat like that, since she was wrapped up like a Chinese puzzlebox.

So, she's a wicked good eater--obviously.

I remember when my first snake didn't even let go of my fingers when she struck at the pinkie. She pulled it up toward my hand and I was pretty nervous!

Even when you have multiple snakes, it's still always exciting/a relief when they take their first meal for you.
