Ok Ive seen some interest in bikes here so I thought I would start a thread and see where it goes. Thoughts, pics experiences.

This is the one that rekindled my interest in bikes. Its a dragbike that started life as a 1976 Kawasaki KZ 900

This is one that I actually race at the Dragstrip to a best of 11.97 seconds at 110 miles per hour. Its a 1987 Kawasaki ZL 1000 AKA Eliminator

And then there is my current ride a 1999 Harley Davidson Night Train.

And finally one of my Gremlin bell. Its a superstitious belief of bikers I can try and find the full story if your interested.

I have no pictures of the V max, but let me tell you its UGLY but its FAST. LOL hope I live through the summer.

My ex and I had a Kawasaki Vulcan 1500. We towed it to Sturgis and had a "Voyager" kit put on it. A Voyager kit is like training wheels. We had to do that so I could balance it. My ex is blind and had to ride behind me and I couldn't balance it by myself because he's a big 300lbs. Anyway, it was a really cool bike. We never got pictures of it though. It was metallic burgundy, with leather saddle bags and handle grips. My first experience with Motorcycles. We also had a Russian Ural motorcycle with a sidecar. We've seen sold both.

I also remember when Ural's came to the states... thought they were cool.

My dad has a '75 FLH (in blue AMC ) that my grandfather had originally purchased new... needless to say, it'll remain in the family

I bought my dad a bell almost exactly like that I don't have a bike, but I'll have to post a pic of his Roadstar.

I grew up around Harley-Davidson, too. Mind you, I'm referring to the factory off of 124th St. and Capitol Dr. in Milwaukee. :grin01: And this is my ride. (Sorry Josh - didn't mean to take it :-offtopic).

I posted this once in Princess's mc thread.
I also grew up around Harleys and jsut about every other kind of bike. My dad has always had project going and is now getting that "certification" to hang on his wall. He has decided to turn his obsession into his retirement career.
My great aunt had a true love of Harleys and Indians, obtaining quite a collection over the years. My dad is currently working on restoring a number of these bikes that had sat in storage after she became ill. This is his current project, a 30 something('34 I think) Copperhead. It is rough now, but you can bet I will be trying to talk him out of it when it is finished! :grin01:

That is certainly a wicked old flat head! I remember seeing those pics before and that bike still amazez me. Excellent Traci, I hope you can talk him out of it but certainly youll need to keep that treasure FOREVER.
