moving hatchlings

When is it appropriate to move the hatchlings from the incubation/pipping box?

Can the pips that have hatched cause any kind of problems for the other eggs that haven't hatched yet?

I have six 1/8 inch holes drilled into the pipping box that is within the Hovabator, will this supply enough air ( I have been opening it frequently to check on new pips) ?

thanks, K

I usually wait for 12-24 hours after they hatch to let them acclimitise to being out of the egg.

I've never had a problem with youngsters co-habbing in the incubation box for a short time at that stage. They still have bellies full of yolk so won't be looking for food. Risk of cannibalism at that point is very low in my opinion.
