Ok, so I have not been around lately as I am preparing to move to Florida. How come I didn't realize until 2 minutes ago that I will be moving to the city that Rich Z is located out of?? Gah, this is going to be so hard, I do NOT need any more snakes... right???
 
Yay!! Do you think you'll ever come down and do stuff with the rest of us? Now I'll have to go to the (sucky) Repticon in Tally next time! Will you be here by Saturday (Daytona)???
 
I wish I was going to be there for Daytona! But nope, I won't be in Tallahassee until the first week of September. Just missing it, how come it happens that way?

Repticon... is it just a small expo?
 
Repticon varies by city. Unfortunately, Tally has a very small one. But Gainesville doesn't have one at all!! I like the ones in Orlando and down by Katie's. I haven't been to Jax yet- gas is just too expensive to be wasting it like I'd been in the habit of. But if you wanted to go to any of the nicer shows, or the Serpentarium, or whatever, you could drive down to me, about 140 miles, and I'd drive from here!
 
I would have thought Gainesville would have one for sure.. strange. I am all about going to shows! You really aren't going to be that far from me. It sure is nice moving to an area that I know a lot of people are from.

Do you order your mice online? I will probably try to get a hold of a few breeders out here so I don't have to buy any from pet stores. I usually buy online but I just don't have enough money after such a large move.

Well, to be technical Rich doesn't live IN Tallahassee. But you're moving to a great town if you like sports!

I spent an awesome 5 years there and will be back in October for a football game.

Do yourself a favor and hit up Po'Boys off Ocala Rd. Grouper bites are awesome.
 
I will definitely be hitting up some of the FSU football games. I am more for college sports. Thanks for the food recommendation! I love grouper.

If you haven't been to a college football game in the South you're in for quite the treat. The gameday atmosphere is something else----it's very hard to describe to people and other events just do not compare.

You can always get tickets outside of the game for face or below face, if you hold out until after the game starts. I believe seminoles.com still has single game tickets available---I know FSU's season ticket sales are down 6% from last year so I'm sure single game sales are down as well. I would highly suggest being in the stadium well before kickoff to see two things: The midfield to endzone helmet walk, and Chief Osceola planting the spear at midfield. Those are two of the coolest traditions in all of college sports.

If you like wings you've gotta hit up Buffalo Wild Wings on Tennessee St (main drag). Not sure if you have them in Colorado, but they have by far the best wings out there---make sure you get buffalo chips or wedges to accompany. For BBQ hit up Jim and Milts right across from Po'Boys. God I miss Tallahassee food! And if you're in the mood for an immediate heart attack, get a Guthrie's 'gut box'.
