Musical Mates Musings for 2017 ...

Tavia

Elemental Exotics
Yeah, it's pretty early to start thinking about next season but there it is ...

Next year a number of my females will be ready to breed for the first time, so that will be exciting!

First up, repeat pairings between Max, homo Tessera het Caramel to both Rhiannon, Caramel Motley with no known hets and Mudd, loan Caramel Tessera het Amel and Stripe. Rhiannon reabsorbed her eggs this year and Mudd's clutch crashed, so hopefully much better luck next year!

Then Arista will be ready next year. Hypo Cinder with unknown hets. I'm hoping Hadrian, Amel Tessera het Cinder phet Hypo & Diffused, will be ready to pair with her. He will be young but is looking like he will be a decent size for it. Both unproven.

Then Persephone, Charcoal Tessera, het or homo Hypo, phet Amel, Stripe & Anery (poss homo Tess) will be ready.
Thinking I'll try her with Vash, Phantom het or homo Anery, het Diffused, to test out if she is indeed homo Hypo.
But also thinking about pairing her with Badger Charcoal Tessera het Diffused, phet Anery, instead.
I'll probably try Vash first and hold Badger in reserve, in case Vash isn't in the mood.

Persephone. Unproven.

Then Vixen, Diffused, phet Amel, Anery, Caramel, Hypo & Lavender, will also be ready too.
Will probably pair her up with Viper, Tessera Diffused phet Amel, Anery, Caramel, Hypo & Lavender, proven. Viper's het Caramel didn't prove out this year but not enough babies to prove it one way or the other. Hopefully a few of his other hets will be proven out in a few months from a loan he is on currently.

Looks like some good pairings tavia I'm still only just learning genetics because I would like to get into breeding in the next few years, only have one corn hopefully a second in a week or so, can you post or send me pics of Hadrian, I'm getting a hatchling amel Tess and wanna see the adult coloring better than the few pictures I've seen

Hadrian is out of a part Candy cane line, which are Amels line bred to remove the yellow. Currently he is holding the Candy cane look. If yours isn't out of a Candy cane lineage, it will probably be a lot yellower as it ages.

Here is a thread with most of the pictures I've got of him, though I don't think that the newest ones are there.

Oh ok yeah mine will definitely be more yellow than Hadrian, the lil guy I'm getting is het for diffused and phet for caramel
