I knew it was going to happen eventually... I was finally bitten by one of my snakes- Indie my BP no less! But I have to add it was slightly my fault- I reached into her tank and tried to grab at her without letting her see me or get used to my hand in her home 1st... poor girl, I probably scared the crap right out of her, waking her up from a dead sleep to a hand in front of her face trying to pick her up.

I do have to say... everyones right- its more scary than anything. Its only been a few minutes and it doesnt even hurt anymore, only one spot on my hand drew blood.

i guess I should add after she struck, I left my hand in there, and not 30 seconds later I picked her up like always with no problem. Dumb me.
 
I know my first bite is going to probably come from Kunai...She is the only one that strikes at the glass anytime I pass her..though when I go to pick her up she has yet to strike at me thankfully...but when she sees me outside her tank or feeding tub..I'm her worst enemy..well it's my guess she will be the one to get me eventually..

but anyways back to your experience..good to hear she let ya pick her up after ya woke her up so suddenly hehehe....lord knows I hate being woken up in the morning..lol..wish I could bite my b/f's hand sometimes when he wakes me...but for some reason I just don't think that's considered normal in the human world..lol..
