It's Jager time!
I picked this unit up at ikea tonight, and I adore it. Cheap as chips, easy to assemble and you can build onto it as much as you like! I'm going to double it up (sideways) so it eventually has 10 shelfs and will hold all my adult corns and a couple of the boas. I have more than enough room to actually expand this the whole way along one of the walls, but thats a wee bit excessive LOL.
Most of the snakes are too small to be moved up to their adult boxes which is the 64ltr really useful box. This is the first ever unit I have been able to find which fits these perfectly. The size of each block in the stack is roughly the size of each box (including height).
I love the fact the shelfs are glass. All I have to do is look underneath to see where abouts the snakes are burried in the hemp, rather than digging them out.
Mr Sthnaily lives on the top shelf with Edward Scissorhands and all the hatchling boxes. He will need to move when I get round to switching everyone to adult tubs in the next few months. It will make the rack look much tidier as at the moment its a mixture of lots of different silly boxes! Trial and error though right? Each has it's ups and downs but my favourite brand has to be really useful boxes.
Heres what I accomplished in 3 hours tonight
Theres more snakes to be moved in, and 3 corns are being moved up to their adult boxes.
Sadly it is nothing in comparison to the mamoth effort my partner went to make boa display "cages" for the livingroom. I wish I knew how to cut wood and stuff... I prefer to take the easy way out LOL!
