My bearded dragon Bindi..

Anything Lava!
This my bearded dragon. I named her Bindi after the daughter of the late and great Steve Irwin, Crocodile Hunter. I thought it was appropriate since they're from the same country.

Thanks. They are so cool. I've wanted one for a while and I decided to celebrate my last day of classes by finally going for it. I've been taking her to the park and she just hangs out on my shoulder enjoying the sun while I enjoy my happy hour. She's my buddy.

Congrats on your new addition! :) I have 4 beardies and they are so much fun.

Off topic- What is the bedding you're using? What's the 3rd light for?

Thanks! Bedding: Alfalfa pellets. Light 1: Heat. Light 2: UVB. Light 3: Night heater.

Ahh ok. Never heard of alfalfa pellets being used for beardeds before. Considering it expands when it's wet, I wonder how it would affect the dragon if accidentally ingested? I know they can eat alfalfa plants just not the sprouts.

A lot of my customers at the feed store used alfalfa as bedding for beardies and uros, and they said it passed fine when eaten. One customer used millet seed as bedding too.

Bindi is super cute!!

Interesting. Thanks for that info. Do they say it's easier to clean up poo in? If so I might be trying it with my dragons. :)
