My birthday gift to me (and a pretty funny story to boot)

The Ring and The Arrow
Well, I've been researching Morelia pythons for little while, and the exotics store near here just happened to hava a couple. Knowing that they were having their customer appreciation sale this weekend I decided to chance it and wait for the sale, hopefully save a little money. The carpets they had were a beautifil little pair of Iryan Jayas, and I kinda had my heart set. 2 days before the sale they were gone. :shrugs: Oh well, maybe some other time. So I go to the store with the sale on Sunday. It was a great sale setup like a little mini-reptile show. And rest assured there sat a beautiful pair of carpets, this time Diamonds. :crazy02: The owner, a pretty cool guy overall, asks me if I want to take the male out. Naturally I do. While he's handing it to me he's going on about how docile, and calm they are. At this point, I'm like yeah, okay. I'd done my research up to that point, so I knew about what I was looking at especially with a hatchling. As I go to slowly take the snake and let him crawl onto my hand he lunges at my other hand, while this guy is still telling me how calm they are, and before anyone knew anything he had wheeled around on my other hand and bit it too. All while the salesman was telling me what a nice snake it was, lol. Loong story short, i got the snake for $10 off of the sales price, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!

Isn't it great getting a birthday snake?? I bought one for myself, too, after deciding that hinting around (well, actually, directly demanding and sending a link and everything) wasn't guaranteed results, and I cared enough about this particular snake to not let her get away...

Happy Birthday!! Waiting for pics!!
