My Candy Cane just looks like a normal?

I just a candy cane corn snake yesterday and upon bringing her home realized that she has way more orange than a typical candy cane has. She's still quarentined and I can't play or hold or bond with her yet. She appears to have been wrongly labeled. Do I just get over it and love her? or do I call the specialized reptile places bought her from and see if there's anything they can say or do to maybe trade her with one that I originally wanted? she's still a baby and I really don't know what to do. I really had my heart set on a candy cane.

Snakes change color a bit as they age. She will look different in a year than she does now, whatever kind of snake she is. Also, she could have been bred with the candy cane genetics, but maybe not necessarily show it. Just like any other animals when you cross breed them, and have for example 8 puppies, they may all look the same or different.

Candy Cane is just a selectively bred Amel to have just the red saddle and white ground color. There can be some variability in the offspring, and some do develop some ground color as they grow.
Typically, the best ones I have seen come from Miami or Cinder lines.

My absolute favorite Candy Cane was produced by Nanci (SnickerSnakes).
*I might be a bit partial though. ;)

Pictures would definitely help! Candycane's can look different as babies, like Karl said. If it's not an actual candycane, and that's what you really wanted, I would call them to see if you can return, trade, or get a refund. Especially since you haven't really done much with it yet and aren't really attached to it yet. There is probably a short window of opportunity after purchase to do this, if you wait too long they may not take it back. Or you might fall in love and want to keep it. Either way, good luck!

i tought she means a 'normal' amel, not a normal normal.. ;)
maybe her amel had a lot of orange to be a candycane, but... who knows, without any picture its hard to guess
