It is a girl (not proved). She is a Reverse Okeetee and was born in October. My first snake and I love her already. She is great at eating and energetic.

Glad to see the pics worked for ya :D Nice looking snake. As far as the colors, It could be the lighting when you took the pictures.

Thank you. Is it a good snake, or no? I haven't heard anyone on the forums talk about a Reverse Okeetee, so I'm guessing its not a popular corn snake?

To be honost im new to the forum and Corn snakes too. I just got my first one over a week ago lol.

I have seen some Reverse Okeetees on here, all it really is is the color thats diffrent its the same basic snake as any other corn just that its genetics give it a diffrent color. Yours is more "higher grade" if you will then say mine. Mine is just a Classic Corn but I still love his coloring. If you want to see him look for the "This is Seth" thread in the photo forum here.

But she looks like a pretty snake to me.

Pretty!
Reverse Okeetees are Amelanistic (Amel) corns that are bred to have wide white borders.
It is a pretty popular morph. Lots of people have them. I have an Amel, but not reverse Okeetee.
The colors look the same, just different lighting.

Fantastic snake you got there! My first was a RO too ;). I have a feeling she will be the first among many!!

Thank you. Is it a good snake, or no? I haven't heard anyone on the forums talk about a Reverse Okeetee, so I'm guessing its not a popular corn snake?

It's not that they aren't popular...just pretty common so not as exciting to people who breed as the newest latest and greatest color combos. LOL!
I like a good high white RO myself. I would love to own one.

The color difference in your two photos is the light temperature and type, as well as using flash vs. not using flash.

Reverse Okeetees are somewhat common, but people do tend to get excited over a really nice one. I think you have a very pretty Amel with nice white borders, but I think she/he may outgrow those borders as it grows. Basically I think it's a little too early to call it a Reverse Okeetee.. I am kind of a stickler about those types of things though. Many here probably would call her an RO, my standard is just kind of high.

Also, who knows, she may end up keeping the borders and being a really nice RO. Either way, she's a gorgeously colored Amel (which could be said about all Reverse Okeetees as well, ROs ARE Amels).

Nice new addition! It'll be cool to see pictures of her as she matures.

To be honost I really like all morphs I have seen. Mine is a Normal and I really like his coloring. Seems like some (not saying any one on this site) people are picky and dont like the normals or classics ( what ever you want to call them) but I really like them. They may be commen or normal but there colors I think are still very cool. Also like with your RO, it may be commen but if you like it then who cares! I picked my normal over a ( i think, could be wrong) snow because I really liked his colors and his personality was alot better (the snow was very flighty and acted like it was going to bite). Ya I know I could have gotten the snow ( again I think, could be off on that) for 75 bucks like I payed for my normal but I really liked the normals docile temperment. Not to mention I really like his colors :D

My point is If you like the snake, who cares if its "normal" or "commen" :D

It's important to like your snake's personality and give it the attention as well as the lack of attention it needs to live a happy captive life. I love the variety of classics and amels, many of which I prefer over some of the expensive new morphs. My second snake is a simple anery with a neat stripe. After her first shed half her stripe disappeared. I had to check online to find out if this was normal as I never heard of a vanishing pattern. Now my cute striped hatchling is a patternless neonate. I still love her, but she's very plain.
