My growing collection

The bugeyed SK stripe had a great personality and I had decided to keep her as pet only. Unfortunately, I was shocked to find her dead today when I went to feed her. She had been eating, defecating, and shedding normally and was active the day before so I had no reason to expect this. RIP

On a lighter note, I have some other photos I'll be posting soon.

I'm sorry to hear that :(

Thanks. I imagine she may have had other birth defects that just were not as overt as her bulging eyes. Luckily she was in quarantine but I am not aware of any contagion that would kill a corn snake so rapidly. I had also checked on her this morning to change her water and she appeared alert.

Saffron 66% het stripe from Walter Smith. Probably my favorite of the bunch personality wise. Thanks Walter!

Tessera het lava 66 het lavender 50% amel motley, also from Walter. My lava lavender is 50% het amel/stripe so they are perfect for each other!

Hopefully I'm getting a digital camera soon so that I can take pictures that show the true quality of these snakes. The tessera is developing really nice reds/yellows/oranges that aren't showing up here.

2014 female ERO (the blood-drawer) from Steve Roylance. She is growing crazy fast and is sweet now.

It's heartbreaking when that happens. As you said, your female likely had other internal problems, but I've also seen perfectly healthy, eagerly-feeding hatchlings turn up dead the next day, for no discernible cause whatsoever. For me, it always seems to strike the rarer stuff, too . . . thanks, Murphy. :headbang:

What's really sad is my partner's mother had fallen in love with her and I was going to give the SK stripe to her as part of her birthday present (I knew she wouldn't breed her). So she was heartbroken too!

Can't get over how red the peppermint is. She's even more red in person. Very squirmy though!

Peppermint is by far my favorite morph. This girl is from Steve Roylance and exceeded my expectations.

Wish I had the room (and a little more $$$) for a peppermint stripe and lava cinder...they are next on my wish list!
