My new ghost stripe baby

Went to the show here this weekend, and yesterday there were too many snakes I wanted, so I went home to think about it. By the time I went back today I had settled on a first, second, and third choice. My first choice, a blizzard, was sold, so I got my second choice. He was listed as a Ghost Vanishing Cube, but I will just call him a Ghost Stripe, cause I think that's a little closer to what he looks like. Genotypically speaking, would a vanishing cube be a stripe or a motley? Anyway, here he is. I'm calling him Meridian.

I think his head pattern looks like a lion's head. Don't see it? I've done a little photo-shopping to show you what I mean!

See?

Very cute! I love his name too. I would probably call him a vanishing stripe as well, but if you look closely, you can see some cubing on his lower half. Genetically, they are both controlled by the same gene.

Oh, I didn't know cube was a variant of stripe, I thought it was a motley thing. Thanks for answering that. I will still say stripe in my signature anyway, since I seem to have run out of room! LOL

Either way, I really like how light he is, and I'm hoping he keeps that as he grows. His eyes are pretty light too, so I'm hopeful. I BADLY wanted a stripe, so I'm really pleased that I found him.

Meri has been out cruising his viv day and night since he got here. Besides sleeping and working hours, every time I've checked on him he's been out. I figured that meant he was probably hungry, and since he doesn't seem to be shy at all, I decided to try to feed him today.
I pulled out the tiniest pinkie I could find and he went right for it! Yay! It took him kind of a long time to get it in, which always freaks me out, but once it was in the lump in his belly was actually suprisingly small. He's a smarty too, as soon as he got it in, he went straight over to his warm hide.
I'm SO relieved to have his first feed over with. He's so tiny I was worried I wouldn't have pinkies small enough, plus you really never know for sure how well a new snake will eat until you feed it! Doing my happy dance!

Thanks Zeina, LOL.

Myca, thank you. I think names are important. :)
I also love all of your names, I was kinda laughing because I've had at least 4 of the names from your signature on the short list for my pets at one time or another. Hopefully in the future we don't steal each other's name ideas! ;)
