My New Snake from the Portland Metro Reptile Expo

wendhend

Kind of Corny
I was a good girl and only brought home one new snake from the Portland Metro Reptile expo. Okay, he was a bit of a splurge, but I do think he will be a good investment. I was really happy to have found exactly what I was looking for; a male killer bee ball python. I had been thinking I "needed" one for a long time. Here he is:

wow!!! awesome killer!!! i may have some of those in a year or 2.....they are soooo cool looking!!!

Very cool! I was looking wishfully at the BP's at the show, but I just don't know if I want to get into them. They seem just as addictive as corns! If I did, I would want one that looked like that! His head is so cool looking.

Thanks for the nice comments, everyone! Yes, ball python morphs are just about as addictive as corns once you get started with them. I have 14 of them now and several breeding projects with them in the works this year. This guy might even get a chance. They say males can be sexually mature by the time they have eaten about 20 good meals, which means he might be ready after 8 more meals. With him being a super pastel spider (all codominant genes), he can't produce any normal offspring, even if bred to a normal, which is why I think he is such a good investment snake.

Ack, trying not to be jealous!!

He's awesome, some day I hope to own a BP as beautiful as him!! Great pick up.
