My Okee's first shed

I came home from work to find a present in the viv, a perfect shed. It was one piece and complete with the head. I took pictures but cannot find the USB cable for the camera. He weighed in today at 24g.

Congrats on the perfect shed! :) I always check and then double check mine, just in case. Check your corn too, especially on the tail to make sure there's no little bits or pieces left on them that you might not have seen missing on the shed skin. Also make sure both eye caps are off too.

Glad to hear everything went well. Can't wait to see pictures of the little guy.

That's great! I'm glad it went off without a hitch. :)

Something I'd like to suggest is to save the first shed. Flatten it out and let it dry, then put it in a ziploc baggie or something similar. I have done that with all of my snakes, and it's interesting looking back on my first snake's first shed - especially with how big he is now!

I just recently had my first bad shed with my amel boy Yoshi...that I wouldnt have noticed without looking at the skin...so its a good habit to get into...lol..congrats on a good one!

Me too. I saved all my first sheds. I keep a "baby book" with all kinds of different things from my pets. I even have a few of my cat's baby teeth :)

My 9yr old daughter is taking the shed in to her science class on Friday for show and tell.

I did that, only at my high school :l

The girls and a few boys squealed and jumped away like it was going to attack them, most of the other people were like, "Why did you bring that to school, gross." and a select few thought it was neat.

Whatever they're just missing the "snakes are amazing" gene we all have. They're so insecure with their clear genetic inferiority they have to pretend they aren't jealous.:nope: Such a shame.
