My Smart Snake!!

Last night, when I got home from the vet, late, I still needed to feed Choco and Zee. Zee's easy to dig out- he pretty much only goes in his warm hide. Choco wasn't in his moist hide, so who knows where he could be? He has carpet, don't ask me why, with aspen on top of it. Very difficult for routing him out. But- since Chocs is the world's smartest snake, as evidenced by his five tricks, it was no problem! I just knocked on the top of his viv, like knocking on a door. "Chocs" I said, "it's dinner time! Come on out!" Then I went to thaw the mice, and get the feeding bins out, and get Zee out, and by then there was my good snakey Chocolee out standing up against the glass. He is such a good boy!

I think it's pretty cool that he comes out when I call him. If I tried that with Inez, she'd be frozen in her hide "I hope she doesn't mean me!!"

I've got a pigeon, Milly, that will come when called 90% of the time. That's pretty handy.

Hehe, that made me laugh out loud.

I think every time you talk about Inez, I fall more and more in love with her. Even if she is a Milk. :grin01:

Aw, thanks! She is just so funny. Last night I got her out to watch House. I lifted up her hide- she's rolled in a little ball- so I just scooped her out, kept her cuddled against me in my hand in a ball for the whole hour. I could feel her little tail in there, twitching against my hand- and she poked her head out a couple times, but went right back in. Then I heard a noise in the yard and had to go look- so I put her back all without ever being musked!

LOL thats how I feed Lacey. You tap her clay hide and she sticks her head out, just waiting for food. Then as soon as she smells it its just a quick purple flash and shes gone in the hide with her prize :) Now THATS a clever snake :p
